There are so many reasons you may need to get fit in 30 days. You could be invited to a wedding, a class reunion, or just a very special party. The real question is whether or not it is actually possible to accomplish your goals in just a month’s time. While you may not be in perfect shape at the end of that time, there is certainly no reason you can’t at least improve your appearance by then. It might even be enough to get you a lot of compliments.

First of all, make your goals realistic. Can you really get fit in 30 days? You can certainly become MORE fit in that length of time. By making a plan that will be effective, as well as easy for you to stay with, you can be much improved in 4 weeks. If you have remained somewhat active, it will be easier to improve the fitness of your body in 30 days. However, if your lifestyle has been more of the sedentary kind, you should not expect miraculous results in that time frame. Don’t despair, though. You will be able to do more than you think.

To get fit in 30 days, you will need to also get serious about it. Walking is a great way to break into daily exercising.  Start with a morning walk and an evening walk of 10 – 15 minutes each. Do 5 minutes of stretches prior to beginning your walks, and 5 minutes of cool down stretches afterwards. This will keep you from getting muscle cramps during your walk, or straining a muscle that is not accustomed to being used so much at once. These walks can be performed outdoors, or inside on a treadmill. The important thing is that you do them religiously.

There are more things you can do when you are trying to get fit in 30 days. These are simple things such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Increase your intake of water and fiber daily. Reduce the amount of sugar, salt and fat you eat. All of these things combined, and followed strictly for the full 30 days can definitely make a difference in the way your body appears. It may seem impossible but your muscle tone will improve, and you will most likely drop a few unwanted pounds. At the very least, some fat will turn into muscle.

While it may not be possible to become as fit as you want to be within 30 days, there are improvements that will be quite apparent. In addition to that, 30 days is plenty of time to get yourself used to a self-improvement program that will be something you can continue for a lifetime.
